Yannick Noah won the French Open in 1983 and is the last Frenchman to win the singles title. He became quite the doubles player and won the French Open title in doubles in 1984 with Henri Leconte. As captain, he lead the French Davis Cup team to victory in 1991 and 1996. For obvious reasons, he beloved by the French and tennis enthusiasts.

In 1996, Noah retired from tennis and since has became a pop music star in Europe. The former French Open Champion Yannick Noah will play a show in US this summer. He will play in New York City this June with other francophone artists celebrating chanson française (French song).
