Fifth-seed Juan Carlos Ferrero is healthy and back to form of late. The former world no. 1 had an easy time against Christophe Rochus. Ferrero defeated the Belgian 6-2 6-3 in his Umag debut today.
The Spaniard now draws Potito Starace in the second round. Ferrero leads their head-to-head 4-1.
