Eighth-seed Gilles Simon had a routine win against Viktor Troicki 6-3 6-4. Despite having tendinitis in his knees, the Frenchman soldiers on to the next round. He will meet DC Terror Twin, Tomas Berdych, who retired Marat Safin today.
The two players are even at two games apiece, but Berdych won their last two meetings. Their last meeting was earlier this year at um . . . Davis Cup. It looks like the Frenchman will have his hands full tomorrow.
