James Blake and Feliciano Lopez were sent packing on the first day of the Queen’s Club tournament. Lopez lost to lucky loser Karol Beck of Slovakia 1-6 7-5 6-3 4-6 10-8. Blake lost to Italian Andreas Seppi 7-5 6-4 7-6(5).

After his loss, he blasted the tour:

I'm probably not supposed to say anything about the schedule or about the ATP in that way, but it's just tough for guys. There's really not many ways to mess with the schedule, to take tournaments away, but it would definitely help the players' careers be a little bit longer.

I don't want to sit here and say there's an easy solution, because I know it's tough. I've been on the [ATP] player council. I know how difficult those meetings are, how much the tournaments want to hold on to their spots. But for the players' longevity, something should be done.

Normally, I would say it was a case of sour grapes, but he is onto something considering all of the player injuries of late. He is also referring to Nadal, in particular, in this statement.

he may be on to something, but he still can't play worth crap, he should blame his fat gut if anything.

In a way, he is right and wrong. He is right about the schedule, but the reason why he lost is because he's is clearly missing somethings in his game and will not make the adjustments to his game. Plus, he is getting older, so his problems are magnified.
