Fourth-seed Novak Djokovic had an easy time over Ivan Ljubicic in his opening US Open match. He was able to beat the Croat 6-3 6-1 6-3 and now advances to play Aussie Carsten Ball in the second round. The Serb should not take Ball for granted, as he has been dangerous of late.
